Guilty as Charged: Alice Cooper Unleashes Rock Chaos in Bristow!

The night was dark, the air thick with excitement as fans gathered at Jiffy Lube Live in Bristow, VA, for Alice Cooper’s mind-blowing set on the "Freaks on Parade 2024 Tour" with Rob Zombie. As the lights dimmed and the crowd’s roar settled into an eager hum, a voice boomed across the venue: “Order in the court! Order in the court!” The anticipation was electric, and then – BAM! – the curtain dropped, revealing a bold “Wanted” sign that read, “Banned in Virginia: Alice Cooper.” It was clear: the show was about to be wild.

Without missing a beat, the ominous voice returned: Alice Cooper, you have been banned for your crimes against humanity. How do you plead?” In true Cooper fashion, Alice growled back, “GUILTY!” The crowd went insane. A spotlight illuminated the banner, casting a shadow of Alice’s legendary silhouette, top hat and all. Suddenly, a sword sliced through the sign, shredding it to pieces as Alice made his grand entrance – as stylish and rebellious as ever.

The audience erupted as the band launched into “Lock Me Up” from his 1987 album Raise Your Fist and Yell. The energy was unmatched. Next came the unforgettable anthem, “No More Mr. Nice Guy,” and the crowd belted out every word.

But let’s dive deeper into Nita Straussand Ryan Roxie – the dynamic guitar duo that truly set the stage on fire. These two were absolute powerhouses from the moment they stepped out, keeping the energy not just high but explosive. Every riff, every solo felt like a call to arms, pushing the audience to headbang harder, scream louder, and live in the moment.

Nita Strauss, in particular, was an unstoppable force. She commanded the stage with a presence that was both fierce and mesmerizing. Her fingers flew across the fretboard with precision and speed that left the crowd in awe. When she tore into the solo for “Black Widow”, time seemed to slow down. Every note was perfectly placed, ringing through the air with a sharp, almost dangerous beauty. You could see jaws dropping all around, as if the entire venue was collectively stunned by her sheer talent. It wasn’t just her technical skill that stood out, though – it was the way she connected with the audience, making every solo feel personal, like she was shredding just for you.

Ryan Roxie on the other hand, brought his own brand of rock ‘n’ roll swagger. His gritty, no-nonsense style complemented Nita’s fiery precision perfectly. Together, they were a whirlwind of guitar mastery, trading licks, harmonizing with ease, and feeding off each other’s energy.Ryan's raw edge and showmanship kept the crowd on their toes, whether he was ripping into a blistering riff or strutting across the stage, guitar slung low.

Throughout the night, the band's chemistry was undeniable. They weren’t just playing their instruments – they were performing, engaging the crowd with every move. Whether it was Nita’s electrifying spins or Tommy’s relentless headbanging, they made sure the audience was locked in, eyes glued to the stage. Their energy was contagious, and by the end of each song, it felt like they’d taken everyone in the crowd on a wild ride.

No Alice Cooper show would be complete without the incredible presence of Chuck Garric, the unsung hero holding down the low end. Garric’s bass playing was the glue that kept the madness tight and grounded, driving every track with thunderous grooves. Whether it was the heavy, pulsating lines in “Feed My Frankenstein” or the relentless backbone in “Poison,”

Chuck was a rock-solid force on stage. His energy matched the intensity of the night, headbanging with the best of them and interacting with the crowd like a seasoned rock warrior. Garric’s deep, growling bass tones didn’t just complement the chaos – they amplified it, giving every song that extra punch and swagger.

Cooper’s set was a masterclass in rock theater. During “Snakebite”, he brought out his iconic serpent, sending chills down spines, while “Feed My Frankenstein” unleashed a towering, monstrous Alice-Frankenstein hybrid on stage. The spectacle was pure, unfiltered rock 'n' roll chaos.

Then came one of the most haunting moments of the night – “The Ballad of Dwight Fry.” Alice, strapped into a straitjacket, delivered an emotional and chilling performance that left the audience hanging on every word. And, of course, the execution scene – you can’t have an Alice Cooper show without it. As they “cut off” his head, “I Love the Dead” rolled in, and the theatrics were out of this world.

If anything, his performance proved that he’s only refining his craft, growing more captivating and electrifying with each passing year. The intensity of the night was palpable, with every note and every theatrical flourish cementing this show as nothing short of "legendary".
